Castries And Pigeon Island

Take the opportunity on this excursion to combine shopping and history as you tour the city of Castries. Visit the Cathedral and the Derek Walcott Square before heading to the bustling Castries Market. From here, head north to Pigeon Island, one of St. Lucia’s national landmarks. If you feel adventurous, you may like to trek up to Fort Rodney, or just sit and enjoy some cool refreshments.

Creole Traditions And Beautiful views

Experience some of the island’s Creole traditions on a visit to Fond Latisab. You’ll see how cassava bread is made and be shown the traditional practice of cooking on macambou leaves. There will also be a log sawing demonstration – a two-handed operation done to the rhythm of a traditional chak chak band. Before you leave, taste cassava bread, and wash it down with a draught of local fruit juice.

Spirit And Rhythms Of St. Lucia

Enjoy a drive through Castries up Morne Fortune to the colonial residence of St. Mark’s House, perched high on the hill. At the historic Morne complex visit Caribelle Batik, then continue up the Morne to Eudovic’s Art Studio, with its hand-carved wood sculptures. After seeing the craft in action and enjoying some local snacks and refreshments, travel the beautiful west coast to visit the island’s only rum distillery, with a chance to sample some of the delicious results!

Mamiku Gardens

Travel along the rugged eastern coast of St. Lucia stopping briefly at Dennery view point, to beautiful Mamiku Botanical Gardens set on twelve acres of superb woodland gardens surrounding the ruins of an 18th-century estate. Discover the whereabouts of the Secret Garden and visit the ruins of Grandpa’s Old House and be sure to enjoy some refreshments at Brigand’s Bar.

Lushan Country Life & Forestry

After a short drive to the Union Agricultural Station enter the captivating Orchid Greenhouse for a guided tour where, depending on the season, you may experience the allure of thousands of beautiful blooming Phalaenopsis, more commonly known as moth orchids, Cattleyas and Dendrobiums. This is followed by a visit to the Sapling Shed.

Continue on through the countryside to Lushan Country Life Nature Park. Enjoy a 200-metre walk along the Garden Trail and smell the spice leaves, see the tropical birds and listen to the noises of the forest. Here you will uncover some of the 134 plant species and natural delights that surround you including ginger, cocoa, cinnamon, mango, cashew nuts and coconuts, to name just a few!

Colonial St. Lucia

Visit the excellently preserved, British-built La Toc Battery, the historical Morne Complex and colourful Marina Village.

Beautiful South And Les Pitons

Enjoy a scenic bus ride along the West Coast to Soufrière to visit the world’s only volcano where you can drive almost into the crater itself. Next you will visit the Diamond Botanical Gardens’ waterfall and mineral baths, followed by an enjoyable Creole buffet lunch.

Then, board a catamaran for a cruise along the coastline and view the majestic twin peaks, Les Pitons along the way. Take a swim or snorkel in Anse Cochon and enjoy the beauty of Marigot Bay before returning listening to Caribbean music along the way.

Deep Sea Fishing

On this expedition you will be taken by boat to a position about 6km off the west coast of the island. The fish in these waters include marlin, sailfish, kingfish, mackerel, jack fish, yellow fin tuna, dorado, wahoo and barracuda. With over 40 different species of whales and dolphins in the St. Lucian waters there is always the chance you may see one of these species as well. Refreshments are available on board.

Rainforest Aerial Tramway

This excursion gives you the chance to experience the magic of the rainforest from the best possible vantage point, gliding in an open-air gondola high amidst the canopy of the trees. You will also have a guided walk through part of the forest so that you can experience this magical world from both ends of the spectrum.

Jacquot Trail

The Jacquot Trail immerses hikers in the wonder of the island’s best asset, nature. Begin a gradual ascent into the mature Caribbean Oceanic Forest and get up close and personal with the mighty Chatannier, an impressive hardwood, or the incredible Strangler Ficus which grows around the host tree in an interlocking lattice before replacing it entirely. Experienced Nature Interpreters guide you across ravines and creeks deeper into the mature forest. Spot giant ferns and remarkable epiphytes, and keep your eyes peeled for the Jacquot Parrot and a host of other birdlife.

Sunset Cruise

Sail into the sunset as you cruise in the waters around the island. Complimentary rum punch and soft drinks are provided along with tasty finger foods, whilst you sit back and enjoy the pulsating sounds of the live steel band.

Whale And Dolphin Watching

Sail from Castries aboard a 20-metre Defender sightseeing boat and set off for a location approximately 5km off shore. Satellite navigation will be used to follow the settings along the seabed shelf and a hydrophone will also be used to listen for the marine mammals and locate their direction. The waters in St. Lucia have over 40 different species of whale and dolphins but as you will appreciate, sightings can never be guaranteed. During your cruise you will be offered an unlimited supply of soft drinks, beer, fruit or rum punch.

Snorkeling

Enjoy a 30-minute boat trip from Castries to Anse Cochon. Here you will be able to snorkel over two reefs located in a marine reserve bay which is also home to the celebrated Les Leen ‘M’ wreck. This site is ideal for all levels of snorkelers. Includes the use of snorkel gear, lunch at the beachside bar & grill and full use of the Ti Kaye Resort beach facilities.

St. Lucia By Segway

For a fun day out with a twist, discover the historical and natural wonders of Mount Picard in Rodney Bay by segway, an eco-friendly scooter which you ride standing up! Hone your balance skills during a 20-minute introduction on a practice track. Then glide along a 1.7 mile trail on a guided tour, pausing at various points of interest including a lookout for the American army during World War II, a natural pond where you can feed the fish and viewpoints to admire panoramas of Pigeon Island, Reduit Beach and Rodney Bay.

Martinique Splendour

Discover the French flair of Martinique with a full day on this beautiful island. Visit the capital Fort de France, then cruise to the idyllic bay of Anse Noire. After lunch snorkel or swim in the crystal-clear water.

Gros Islet Friday Night Street Party

Experience the spirit of island life at St. Lucia’s longest running street party, the Gros Islet Friday Night Jump Up.
